I agree with Don here, where do you get the idea that we will revert to a feudal system?
I US political system seems to favour extremes. Thank God you have a left and a right, the extreme lefties tend to counter the fundie right wingnuts. There is always a pendulum swinging, but separation of church and state is a joke in the US and not an issue in most (not all) of the rest of the western democracies.

I agree that the groups behind bush have, like Hitler, who was created by Bush's Grandfather Prescott Bush and his group Skull and Bones.
Read up on The Military Commissions Act - bush can take your citizenship for being a 'terrorist' and a terrorist is anything king bush says it is.
Bush has been changing our laws - we no longer have the right of habeas corpus - you can be LEGALLY renditioned, kidnapped and imprisoned for the rest of your life without a trial or your family being notified.
Please start reading forums such as Democratic Underground, FireDogLake, DailyKos, ProgressiveINdependent, TPM Muckraker - these are real laws and people have been freaking out over the destruction of our rights and the nullifying of Congressional power both through laws and threats of murder which the bush crime family has been doing for decades.

Look up Noahide laws which were passed stealthily using education as an excuse. Israel is a police state and the neocon jews have passed laws which have in fact already turned the USA into a police state.
Both right and left wing forums have been talking and anguishing over this for years and it gets worse every day. Google THE HOME GROWN TERRORIST ACT just passed by the frighted Congress.

Representative Harman, what if the "secret" information was that the intelligence community had decided democracy was incapable of running itself and that the CIA was planning a coup. Would you let THAT happen? Or would you break your oath and protect the Constitution? Would you risk jail time to protect it? The men and women in the armed services are risking, and losing their lives everyday based upon their pledge.
I think the oath to protect the Constitution comes before protecting the CIA.I think Pelosi should be relieved immediately, but don't think for one second that Harman is a saint. Her "secret protest letter" was a CYA move.
And Janey's "I swore a secret oath" excuse doesn't wash, either. She's heard of the Speech and Debate Clause. Any one of them could have gone to the floor and denounced the illegal torture. That would have taken some courage, though.
And now Janey has some phoney "homegrown terrorism bill" out there. Will this madness ever end?

How many in Congress have known the NIE on Iran was false until 2007; and that the President was not lawfully targeting any target in Iran since 2003?
It looks as though Members of Congres knew, or should have known, the President' targeting of the "nuclear-realted sites in Iran" was not linked with any credible intelligence.
This would be a war crime: Planning to attack -- with Congressional support -- targets which were not imminent threats, not related to any military threat, and not related to any Geneva-permitted target.
Talk to the war crimes experts in the legal community, Raw.
They all should be voted out? Sounds good, but in reality, the neo-cons are not about to give up power. All the more reason why I dont' like Pelosi. In addition to her abdicating her responsibility in protecting the constitution, she is also in favor of torture. And then she isn't. What EXACTLY DOES she stand for?
