Another Canadian sports thread, of sorts.
So Washington, DC is going to have another MLB team (if the city council, major league owners, and the courts in which lawsuits are now pending agree. Having been in DC in the years right after the Senators skipped to Texas, I can testify this is a Very Big Deal for them. Think of all those Congressmen who were caught with unrenewable season tickets. And all it's gonna take this time is refurbishing RFK for three years and a new place just a few blocks down South Capitol Street. How many tens of millions is that? And aren't you glad that's one less team to have to hire someone for to sing "O Canada?"
