I know this is probably relatively easy to fix but I've been trying for thirty minutes and can't seem to get it to happen... I was trying to read a thread in Head Clash in. Thing is, all I can see is the first page of posts. I don't know how to get to the second page of them and I know that there is a second page because when I go to the tree view of the forum I see that people posted after me and I want to read what they said but can't get to the posts! How do I set up my stuff so that I can see all posts in a thread? HELP! Amy When troubles come, they come not single spies but in battalions. --William Shakespeare, MacBeth |

Maybe the parts you want to read have already been shifted to "archive through..." that you can find right above the first post of the thread in question. Thinking is the work of the intellect, dreaming its pleasure. - Victor Hugo |

I don't think that's it. Weird thing is that now in HCI forum I *can* see the other posts in the "What Is Perverted?" thread but I don't know what I did...I think it's because I went in through the Tree View but when I tried that with the "Books We Dislike" thread it didn't work... This is frustrating because I can't read or respond... . So far I can see all in *this* thread but that's only because there are three posts... There should only be one page in that thread, as there are only 23 posts in it. After 30 the first 25 are archived. What is the last post there you can see? |

Seems that I'm having a similar problem now. On the main site I can see that Anndee posted in Archaeology and Anthropology on 12-07-03 at 6:16 am, but I can't find her post. Thinking is the work of the intellect, dreaming its pleasure. - Victor Hugo |

I can't see her post either, but I can see the bottom of the page. The list says that there are three posts on that page and I can see them all. Perhaps hers is caught in some sort of time loop and will appear later, or then there is a glitch? |

I got her post via email. I suspect she deleted it. I was off topic, in yellow colour and talking about the background. I think she was playing around maybe in test posting but was in Archaeology? AnnDee? Scott ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ces gens, Jondalar, ils sourient. Ils me sourient. - Ayla |

Um, I didn't write anything in yellow color or talk about background.... The post I couldn't see of mine was the one where you and I were joking around about the diploma toilet paper thing...it was in the "Books We Don't Like" thread or similar name. Amy, Scott referred to a post from AnnDee, where she may have tested something out and deleted it since it went to the wrong forum. The forum remembers the last poster, whether that post was deleted or not. I could see that diploma-toilet paper thing. Did you try deleting your cache? Can you see it now? I love deadlines. That wasn't very clear, was it? The page loads alright, and the last post on that books thread is from me. Your browser usually reads cached pages, that saves loading time. Depending on your browser's settings, these cached pages can be annoyingly sticky. What you can try is to delete the cache and maybe set the 'read from server' option, if you have one, to 'every time'. In ie that would be under 'Extras' and 'internet options' and temporary internet files' (rough translation, since I use the German version when I use it). I love deadlines. Oops...thanks for the clarification Thal. Actually, now I can't even see the last two posts of yours in this thread... I did go and change the thing to refresh 'every time' I vist a website. I don't know if it helped or not ... somehow I doubt it. I'll keep trying. I know you'll keep helping, too. I will check if there is a possibility to 'force' the browsers to refresh when they access JADE. Not sure there is, but worth a try... I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they pass by - Douglas Adams |

Well, here's new twist...when I access JADE from my home computer I can see all the posts...so it's definitely something to do with my work computer...lol...that'll teach me to dink around on the internet while I'm at work! Just wanted to let you know that I think I fixed the problem. Thanks for you suggestion Thal...what I had to do was change the refresh option from automatically to 'every time'.

Amy The Quotation is 'When SORROWS come, they come not single spies but in battalions', not troubles. And it's from Hamlet not Macbeth.} |
